O lovely-faced lady, if one recites the name 100,000 times month after month, he can get rid of troubles due to planets/eclipse etc.. , his prosperity is never lost, he is not afraid of snakes, fire, thieves, forest and water. While climbing mountains there is no fear of lions, tigers, spirits, demons, ghosts etc. There will be no fear from enemies and the wretched, and those who recite this name enjoys bliss of heaven and become celebrated. Just like the sun or moon, he remains bright in durgA loka for thousands of kalpas. O beautiful faced devI, he gets the fruit of 1000 vAjapeya yag~yas as the effect of reciting Durga's name. In this world there is no name that can be compared to the divine name of Durga. Thus sAdhakas must carefully recite this name always. All the difficulties just disappear by merely remembering this name.

mahAgaNesha pa~Ncaratna by AcArya Adi sha~Nkara

It is always best to start the day, as soon as you wake-up, with positive thoughts so that rest of your day follows that. Even better, if you start your day with divine thoughts that helps us to face all known and unknown perils throughout the day.

Here is my first post on this blog and I start with the great prayer from AcArya Adi sha~Nkara - mahAgaNesha pa~Ncaratna stotram.

The last shloka, phala shruti, says that whoever chants this hymn in the morning soon after waking up with heart set upon mahAgaNesha will achieve good health, faultlessness, good company, a good son, long life and all the eight properities life along.

Welcome to my new blog of manotA!

मनोता / மனோதா / manotA means a sacred hymn to a deity. It also means a deity to whom the offering during the recitation of the hymn is dedicated which is the subject matter of this blog. I would like to share all the sacred hymns that would be useful for a jIva in mAnasika & laukika pursuits.
